Easter Monday is celebrated as the regeneration of the life-less body of Jesus Christ. The essence of this day is the most important festival for Christians. It basically falls on the first Monday after the full moon in the Northern Spring Equinox.
Significance of the day – The belief of the Holy Bible and the Christian stands on – “there is life after death.” After the crucifixion of Jesus, his body was laid in a heavily guarded tomb for Saturday. On, the third day some local women found the heavy rock of the tomb removed. After further discovery they got to know that his body was not present there, rather his body has risen and resurrected. This filled them with fear yet with joy and they spread this action of work to His disciples.
After the crucifixion of Christ, he stayed on the earth for 40days and then lifted to heaven. This implies his promise to come back. The shedding of Christ’s blood and his death has a deeper meaning too. If his blood and sacrificed life did not occur then the sins committed by humankind from the beginning of the world would not be able to inherit eternity. The eternity life after giving up the human body and living with God with soul in peace, love, and happiness.
However, this day is a remembrance that with full hope one can see themselves with their Lord in heaven.
Wishing you all a Happy Easter!
